Delete your data
Three ways to do it, depending on what you want removed.
Disconnect one account
In Cadence, open Integrations, find the account and choose Disconnect. Our permission to use it is revoked immediately and the details we stored about it — which page you chose, its name and identifier — are removed. Posts already published on your page stay where they are; they belong to your business, and you can delete them on the platform itself.
Remove Cadence from Facebook or Instagram
You can do it from Facebook instead, and you do not need to sign in to Cadence:
- Go to Settings & privacy → Settings in your Facebook account.
- Open Apps and websites.
- Find Cadence and choose Remove.
- Tick the option to delete the data the app holds, and confirm.
Facebook then sends us a deletion request automatically. We revoke the access, erase the Facebook and Instagram details we held, and give Facebook a confirmation code and a link where you can check the result.
Delete everything
To have your account and all of your business data removed, email privacy@marketingtech.ca from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm, complete it within 30 days, and tell you when it is done. Some records — invoices, for example — are kept where the law requires it, and we will say which.
Checking on a request
If Facebook gave you a confirmation code, the link beside it opens a page showing the state of that request. It has the form /legal/data-deletion/<your code>. If you have lost the code, email us and we will find it.
