Cadenceby Marketing & Technology

Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 September 2026

Cadence is a marketing platform operated by Marketing & Technology (16663885 Canada Inc.), Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what we collect, what we do with it, and how you remove it. It applies to the Cadence application and to any marketing account you connect to it.

Information we collect

Account information. Your name, email address, the business you work for, and your role in it. You give us this when you create an account or are invited to one.

Business information. What you tell Cadence about your business so it can write for you — your services, your audience, your tone, your website address — along with the content Cadence drafts and you approve.

Connected accounts. When you connect a marketing account (for example a Facebook Page, an Instagram business account, a LinkedIn company page, a website, an advertising account or an email platform), we store an authorisation issued by that platform and the details needed to use it: which page or account you chose, its name and identifier, and the permissions you granted. We do not store your password for any platform, and we never ask you for one.

Usage information. Ordinary technical records of using the application — sign-ins, actions taken in the product, errors — used to operate and secure it.

What we do with data from connected platforms

We read only what is needed for the features you have switched on, and we say plainly what that is:

  • Facebook Pages and Instagram. We read the list of Pages and Instagram business accounts you manage so you can choose one; we publish posts you have approved to the account you chose; and we read the public performance of those posts — reach, engagement, clicks — to report on them.
  • LinkedIn. We read the company pages you administer so you can choose one, publish approved posts to it, and read the performance of those posts.
  • Advertising accounts. Read-only, always. Cadence reads campaign performance in order to report on it and recommend changes. It does not create, edit or pause campaigns, and it never spends from your budget.

We do not read your personal profile, your friends or connections, your private messages, or anything belonging to accounts you have not connected. We do not use platform data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with other customers.

Nothing is published without your approval. Every item Cadence creates waits for a person to approve it before it goes anywhere.

Artificial intelligence

Cadence uses AI models to draft content from the business information you provide. Your content is used to produce your drafts. We do not permit our AI providers to train their models on your data.

Who else handles your data

We use service providers to run Cadence, and they only handle data in order to provide their service to us: hosting and application infrastructure, database hosting, the service that holds platform authorisations securely, payment processing, email delivery, and error monitoring. We do not sell personal information to anyone.

Where data is held, and for how long

Data is held on servers operated by our infrastructure providers, which may be located outside Canada. We keep your account and business data for as long as your account is active. When you close your account we delete or anonymise it within 90 days, except where we must keep records for legal or accounting reasons.

Disconnecting a platform removes our authorisation to use it immediately. Content that was already published on your own website or social pages stays where it is — it belongs to your business, and removing it is done on that platform.

Removing your data

You can disconnect any platform from the Integrations screen at any time, and you can ask us to delete your data entirely. If you connected through Facebook or Instagram, you can also remove Cadence from your Facebook settings and Facebook will send us a deletion request automatically.

Full instructions, and a page for checking on a request, are at Delete your data.

Your rights

You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

Platform authorisations are held by a specialist credential service and are never stored in the application’s own database or shown in the product. Access to customer data is restricted to the workspace it belongs to and enforced by the database itself, not only by the application.

Children

Cadence is a business product and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy materially we will tell account holders by email before the change takes effect.
